'They nibbled them to death'
Plenty o' fish analogies in today's Sharks-Oilers preview from Globe and Mail columnist Al Maki:
Still, the prevalent mood heading into tomorrow's first game is that no matter what Edmonton does, San Jose will do more and win, graphically. That may happen but for now the Oilers are feeling decidedly upbeat. They have the Sharks right where they want them — in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs with everyone calling for mutilation.
If there's pressure, rest assured the Oilers are pointing to their celebrated rivals and saying, “It's all on them. They're opening at home. They're the favourites. We're just the little team that traps a lot.”
